Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager for Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of project management experience, particularly in handling large-scale projects. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is required for this role.

Your role in our mission

Deliver Quality Project Management Work to Specification:

  • Monitor daily progress and performance metrics to ensure the delivery of program requirements that meet or exceed expectations, aligning with program goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement appropriate quality monitoring and control activities, providing feedback on project deliverables as necessary.
  • Provide support to the Operations team on local projects, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
  • Provide input to program teams and management for ongoing operations and new program activities.
  • Ensure timely entry of work hours within the designated time recording tool on a weekly basis.
  • Attend state meetings as requested and adhere to established communication guidelines.
  • Maintain program standards for collecting, storing, and disseminating program information, reports, and communications.
  • Oversee the execution of risk management activities, contingency plans, change management processes, and performance reporting.

Support Personal/Team Development:

  • Engage in Medicaid and/or subsystem training to enhance business knowledge and skills.
  • Schedule and attend career-tracking meetings with the PMO team to review performance and address development needs.
  • Define and meet personal development objectives, contributing to overall team growth.
  • Identify and develop a backup for the role in collaboration with Systems leadership.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead assigned project teams to ensure completion of work and fulfillment of client commitments.
  • Coordinate with Systems PMs to obtain schedule updates and monitor critical project dates.
  • Consult with project team members regularly to update assignments and project plan status, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop detailed schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in [relevant field] or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of project management experience on large projects.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or comparable project management certification.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality project management work that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you should expect in this role

  • Office environment onsite in our Atlanta, GA office.

The pay range for this position is $91,100.00 - $130,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
