Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with the design team to support Blanket Design and Modification on VC-25B
  • Determine requirements and integrates the development of blankets design and modification.
  • Identify methods of compliance to satisfy program requirements
  • Integrate with suppliers, customers and engineering teams to meet the statement of work, including schedules and budget
  • Support the development and improvement of engineering tools and process to support cost saving initiative
  • Provide engineering solutions for Modification related Customer Support payloads Service Requests
  • Present engineering technical information, modification engineering, and project status to leadership and customers
  • Develop validation, test plans, certification plans, and performs design verification by supporting testing and analysis to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements
  • Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier
  • Deploy engineering principles to research technical deviations, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experience with Catia V5 or equivalent CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years or more of experience working with interiors/payloads or blankets design
  • Experience with blankets design and modification
  • Airplane program experience through certification
  • Current U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience in Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)

Typical Education & Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
