Description

Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work and clinical supervision of students. Responsibilities for this role include clinical practice assignment in the hospital and skills/simulation lab, in addition to educational responsibilities.

Research/scholarship activities, as well as service responsibilities, will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.

Qualifications

Minimal requirements for the position include unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee and a Master of Science in Nursing. All degrees must be from an accredited program. Academic rank is at the instructor or assistant professor level based upon academic credentials.

Experience in psychiatric-mental health nursing and medical-surgical nursing is required. Teaching experience in a professional nursing program is desired.
