About this opportunity 

Join the HW group of Align R&D for the role of IB support team. Be the Electrical Engineer responsible for all the electrical aspect of our products deployed in the field. You will be required to investigate and solve problems of electronics modules and testers of complex medical systems, including electronic boards with high-speed cameras, power and current drivers driving LEDs and other loads, A/Ds, D/As, serial communication, data transfer and control. This role involves redesigning of boards, sub-modules and jigs when required.

In this role, you will… 

Have end to end responsibility on the IB (Install Base) and continuation of production line – as the representative of the hardware R&D group. This includes:

  • Finding of Root Causes for complex problems
  • Defining tests and debugging tools
  • Redesign of boards and modules
  • Providing new initiatives ideas/designs to increase production yield and reduce RMA
  • Documentation

In this role, you’ll need … 

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience as an R&D or Engineering Electrical engineer
  • Hands on ability is a must.
  • Experience and knowledge in operating test equipment, like power supplies, Oscilloscope, Line testers, etc.
  • Top professional in electronics
  • Knowledge in analog circuits is a must (A/D and D/A devices)
  • Experience in designing of power system element – on-board power supplies
  • Experience in USB2, USB3, I2C, SPI, JTAG 
  • Orcad knowledge is a substantial advantage
  • Experience in Allegro is a substantial advantage
  • Experience in design for safety and EMC standards – is a substantial advantage
  • Experience in a similar job in companies with multidisciplinary machine products is an advantage
  • Knowledge and capabilities with Python/LabView is a substantial advantage
  • Electrical Engineer or Practical Engineer diploma
