FleishmanHillard, a global communications agency, has an immediate opening for a Senior Vice President and Partner to join our global research and intelligence practice, branded as TRUE Global Intelligence (TGI). TGI is a worldwide network of intelligence practitioners and consultants within FleishmanHillard Our new Partner will act as a leader, partnering with global and local organizations, and internal US teams to inform strategy, enhance execution via analytics, and demonstrate opportunities and success via measurement. They will liaise with FleishmanHillard client teams and create solutions and approaches to achieve client goals and grow client revenue and client satisfaction. In addition, they will build and manage teams and collaborate closely with the broader TGI network.

Responsibilities

Business Development and Client Management

  • Collaborate with FH colleagues to bring quality research to our client engagements and deliver outstanding insights that that provide high-quality results for the client.
  • Engage directly with clients and provide strategic counsel throughout all stages of the process and deliver exceptional research that meets the clients’ business needs and solve specific client business problems.
  • Responsible for revenue growth and profitability of client accounts to meet firm’s financial goals.
  • Accountable for the quality of P&L management and the alignment between local and global strategy.
  • Participate in internal and external new business pitches and proposals in partnership with FH New Business teams including the production of audience diagnosis and market research to deliver insights and testing methodologies to inform and validate strategic and creative options.
  • Direct the pricing of projects to provide value to clients while meeting the firm’s financial goals.
  • Actively engage in business development to identify, prioritize and amplify opportunities.
  • Monitor and forecast business performance and the costs and resources in partnership with the Finance team.
  • Take a consultative approach to designing, selling and executing using appropriate methodologies and tools to meet clients’ needs.
  • Bring new ideas into practice and help develop them for commercialization and the benefit of both the client and team.
  • Establish trust, respect and credibility as a leader and business partner.

Project Management

  • Engage stakeholders as a strategic consult so as to ask the right questions, understand the business objectives, and ultimately help to scope the right research that will have the most impact.
  • Ensure that insights, research and intelligence are an integral part of our client counsel and programming which includes integrating our offerings and developing a strong cohesive team.
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative research projects.
  • Lead measurement and analytics projects.
  • Ensure that the analysis and interpretation of data creates a compelling story that meets client objectives.

Talent Development

  • Manage and lead a geographically dispersed US team.
  • Drive culture alignment with FH and TGI principles and values, identifying top talent and mentoring staff with an emphasis on collaboration, quality output and career development.

Qualifications

  • Ability to join us in a hybrid model of working in-person in the office weekly.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in market research, marketing, insights, analytics, strategy development, or consultation. The ideal candidate should be an experienced brand builder and corporate communicator, preferably having worked in both an agency and on the client side.
  • Experience with various types of research engagements including: corporate reputation, highly curated media monitoring, thought leadership, measurement and optimization and brand position.
  • Strategic thinker who understands marketing strategy and how to use research methods and analysis to deliver actionable findings for clients.
  • Track record of building successful relationships across organizations to promote the impact and value of research, analytics and insights.
  • Strong leader with experience managing large internal cross-practice, cross-functional teams (including research, planning, creative, programming and analytics), as well as experience working across and leading integrated agency planning teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels using both technical and non-technical verbiage.
  • Ability to turn data and analysis into insights and metrics that can be actionable in the context of marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing, traditional, social and digital media and content development, social and web site analysis and consumer targeting tools and vendors.
  • Quantitative research experience, potentially including media analysis, automated dashboard development and reporting, knowledge of social media publishing and listening tools and digital analytics.
  • Qualitative research experience, potentially including landscape analysis and fact finding research.
  • Knowledge of methodologies and analytic techniques including segmentation, concept testing, conjoint analysis, perceptual mapping, tracking, ad testing, product naming, customer satisfaction, focus groups, IDIs, and web and telephone surveys.
  • A broad understanding of core and emerging analytics methods and approaches as well as statistical techniques and how they can be deployed to drive value.
  • Ability to provide client counsel that leverages multiple sources of insights and data.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess reporting and modeled results from the perspective of the business and to adapt output accordingly.
  • Proven track record developing business, and experience writing and presenting proposals.
  • Experience managing project financials to ensure projects stay on budget and are profitable.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize individual and team time and projects, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Possess intellectual curiosity and approach business questions with creativity and insight.
  • Ability to get to the heart of issues quickly and act decisively while seeing the “bigger picture” and executing and communicating clear messages to the business as a whole.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and cross-cultural environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position at the Senior Vice President + Partner level is $200,000 - $275,000 per year.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
