Job Description
Data Center Operation Platform is going to support all business units within Alibaba to efficiently, cost-effectively and intelligently operate compute, storage, network resources in its worldwide data center infrastructure. By integrating domain knowledge in server architecture and data center electrical and cooling infrastructure, the Data Center Operation Platform will provide both real-time and offline intelligent operation support, with a vision of self-driving data centers.
As an algorithm engineer/research engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Explore different technology/research areas including machine learning, time series analysis, optimization/operation research, computer vision, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), etc.
- Help define data collection and monitoring mechanism such as data granularity, frequency and analytics methods
- Design algorithms and system integration solutions to help optimize data center operation and energy efficiency, including (but not limited to): anomaly detection/identification, root cause analysis, fault prediction, and energy consumption optimization
- Influence design of Data Center Operation Platform and real operation model using data-driven models and algorithms

作为一名算法工程师，您将负责：
- 跟踪调研研究不同的科技/科研领域，包括机器学习，时序分析，优化， 机器视觉， 同时定位与地图构建(SLAM)等。
- 帮助定义数据采集和监控的机制，例如数据粒度，采集频率，分析方法等
- 有利于提高数据中心和服务器运营效率，和降低能耗的算法设计开发，例如：异常检测和定位，根因分析，故障预测，能耗优化等
- 利用数据驱动的模型和算法不断推动运营平台和运营模式的演进
Job requirements
- Master or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, or related major
- Industry experience using machine learning or related algorithms to solve real-world problems.
- A good research track record as demonstrated by publications and open source software is a plus
- Experience in control, especially control in data center or similar industry is a plus
- Experienced with data analytics tools and techniques for both offline and real-time applications
- Proficient with at least one coding language, such as C++, Java, Scala, Python, Nodejs or Go
- Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese

- 有应用算法解决实际问题的工业经验
- 具有良好的相关科研成果或者open source软件的经历优先考虑
- 有控制经验，特别是在数据中心或者其它类似工业环境的控制经验经历优先考虑
- 精通各种数据分析工具和方法在离线和实时数据处理上的应用有一定软件开发经验
- 精通至少一种编程语言，例如C++， Java，Python，Nodejs 或Go
- 善于中英文口头表达和文字交流以及各个团队间的协作，具有优秀的方案撰写以及讲解能力
