Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in digital content/media.
  • 3 years of experience working in a sales, business development, or consultative role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Hindi fluently to collaborate with partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in the music, video, media, or entertainment industry.
  • Experience in an external-facing customer interaction role with customer support, sales, or relationship development.
  • Experience working on spreadsheet analysis, public presentations, and data management, with the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally.
  • Ability to learn technological concepts, financial models, education/news policies, and copyright, as well as interact at all levels of an organization/cross-functionally.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation planning, and time management skills, with attention to detail.

As Strategic Partner Manager of Scaled Music Content Partnerships for YouTube, you will be negotiating content-licensing agreements with partners as you are working cross-functionally with colleagues in Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure partners are positioned for success and users enjoy the experience. In this role, you will initiate and manage day-to-day operations and partner relationships, fielding and prioritizing incoming requests, troubleshooting partner systems around reporting, content management, and Content ID, and creating periodic reports (external and internal) on partner performance.

  • Grow a scaled portfolio of high potential YouTube artists/Music media companies.
  • Manage scaled portfolio of artists/label accounts on strategic goals, maximizing watch time hours, platform engagement, audience growth, community interaction, and growth by developing customized analytical strategies and business plans.
  • Work with the team and cross-functional partners to develop and implement creative ways to improve client relationships, grow distribution and drive growth.
  • Develop relationships with key partners with a focus on existing performance growth, and advocate internally. Identify areas of demand and prioritize the acquisition and onboarding of new music content partners from the regions.
  • Define, model, execute against, and analyze key distribution performance metrics and recommend channel improvements to partners. Work with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Legal teams.
