Overview

An opportunity exists for an experienced FP&A Data & Analytics Senior Analyst to join our Finance team here in PepsiCo on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to support the FP&A Digital reporting team with the following scope:

Role Responsibilities

  • Developing & implementing analytic solutions that deliver, as much as possible, self-service analytics solutions leveraging available data sets (MDG, ECC, S4/HANA, Azure etc) and tools (AFO, Power BI).
  • Identify & pilot tools and best practices from elsewhere in the PepsiCo system, and externally, that will step change our analytics agenda.
  • Collaborate with our PGCS IT partners to translate business needs to actionable technical briefs against which solutions can be identified/developed.
  • Collaborate with Global Process Leads to identify opportunities to leverage MDM governed data sets to improve business decision making and E2E process effectiveness.
  • Where relevant lead &/or support proof of concept pilots of analytics solutions (in collaboration with IT) to assess effectiveness in meeting business needs.
  • Build analytic capability within FP&A Function
  • Drive data driven continuous improvement across FP&A leveraging LSS methodology.
  • Provide analytical support for key FP&A strategic initiatives and complex, high-profile projects; planning and scoping several inter-related initiatives and helping senior-level business stakeholders make informed decisions
  • Research & partner with IT to maximise existing technologies (SAP data, Tableau, Business Objects, Sequoia etc), and to evaluate available/future technologies, benchmarking other companies’ data analytics strategies

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • 3rd level qualification in Numeric/Mathematical discipline (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Finance), with a thorough understanding of data analytics.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large FMCG operation using SAP and experience and hands-on experience of The Finance function
  • Strong Data Analytical skills including SQL, Excel, MS Access, Tableau, Power BI, Analysis for Office and Business Objects
  • Strong background in data driven continuous process improvement. Minimum of LSS Kaizen Leader certification.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills, with experience working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly articulate ideas and proposals to all levels of the organization.
  • Experience of working on large-scale and small-scale projects and a continuous improvement orientation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities on a tight timeline and in a high-pressure environment

Additional Desired qualifications and/or experience

  • Strong PC/software skills with the ability to design and maintain systems.
  • Good presentation skills and techniques (Sharepoint, Powerpoint)
  • Technical Skill Sets:
  1. Experience of structured Business process analysis – translating business needs into actionable technical briefs
  2. Familiarity with SAP driven E2E processes & associated data structures
  3. Advanced dashboarding capability leveraging Power BI visualisation tool
  4. Some functional knowledge of one or more of the following: SQL, Analysis For Office, Business Objects
