Java Software Development Engineering - Advisor I

What does a successful Java Software Development Engineering - Advisor I do at Fiserv?

Fiserv is looking to add essential members of the Money Networks and Prepaid Solutions team at our Alpharetta, GA location. As Software Engineers, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems, mobile applications, APIs, and platforms. Our team is currently embarking on a pivotal migration to the cloud, and your expertise will be critical in this transformation. If you have experience in cloud migration, you will find this role both challenging and rewarding.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain software solutions using Java, Spring framework, and Spring Boot.
• Utilize tools like GITHUB, JIRA, and Docker to streamline the development lifecycle.
• Engage in Integration Testing of APIs using tools like Postman, JMeter. Work on database solutions and integrations with Oracle.
• Design and implement full-stack solutions, focusing on digital, mobile systems, API, and micro-services.
• Play a key role in our cloud migration strategy and its implementation. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.

What you need to have:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Java, GITHUB, JIRA, Spring framework, Python, Shell Script, and Docker.
• At least 5 years of experience in Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies.
• Strong capability in Integration Testing APIs using tools such as Postman, JMeter.
• Solid experience in database integrations with Oracle.
• Proven expertise in deploying full-stack solutions in large Enterprise organizations.

What would be nice to have:

• Background in the payment industry.
• Experience with PCF or related cloud platforms and API management. Knowledge of Quarkus, NodeJs, and cloud principles.
• Skills with Kafka, API Gateway, and container platforms.
• Familiarity with quality and security scan tools like Sonar, Fortify, and Web Inspect.
• Hands-on experience in cloud migration strategies and practices.
