Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst/CPSO (Level 3) or Senior Principal Industrial Security Analyst/CPSO (Level 4) who will be involved in the day-to-day oversight and support of all security aspects of active programs. This position covers program security support in Aurora and Englewood, Colorado.

This position seeks a proactive, experienced program security officer to assist with the execution of diverse program security requirements and management of DoD SAPF and SCIF environments and maintain compliance with all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements. The primary function of this position will be a balance between Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and in some cases, Contractor Program Personnel Security (CPPS) lead for our programs. In this position you will be supporting a fast-paced, high-profile program using superb customer service skills to maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the Contractor Program Security Officer.
  • Conducts indoctrinations and debriefs of classified program personnel.
  • Maintains security database applications: SIMS, DISS, ACCS. 
  • Processes mandatory self-reporting from program personnel to various customers.
  • Must be detail-oriented, have meticulous record-keeping, and will be responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets.
  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to efficiently complete appropriate clearance actions.
  • Processes classified visit requests and orchestrates classified visits/meetings. 
  • Send Visit Authorization Requests (VAR) for Program Personnel visiting external locations.
  • Assists with management of DoD SAPF and SCIF environments based on experience and knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, personnel security, physical security, OPSEC, COMSEC, etc..).
  • Receives, reviews, and interprets security classification guidance.
  • Administers security education classes and related briefings.
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing Security leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program. Investigate and document Security violations. 
  • Information Security; accountability, transmission, marking, reproduction, and disposition of classified information.
  • Monitors security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical, and administrative security procedures.
  • Safeguards classified documents, review Security Classification Guides, and ensure compliance with protection requirements. 
  • Assists with on-site inspections/assessments required by government regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required and be able to travel and work at multiple sites within the Denver Metro Area.
  • Be willing to travel for short durations, supporting CONUS and OCONUS courier operations.
  • Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
  • Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
  • Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor’s access to restricted records and materials.
  • Conducts security education classes and related briefings.
  • Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
  • Working knowledge of DoD 5205.07 SAP Manuals volumes 1-4, ICD 705, ICD 704, and/or the DoD amended 32 CFR Part 117, the NISPOM Rule.

Basic Qualifications (Level 3):

  • Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with four years of experience. In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and have a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) current within 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to take a Polygraph.
  • Must be knowledgeable and have experience implementing the NISPOM.
  • Must be knowledgeable and have experience implementing DODM 5205.07 volumes 1-4
  • Familiarity with the following: ICD 705, ICD 704, ICD 503, NISPOM.
  • Experience shall include direct program security experience within the DoD and IC community.
  • Exemplary presentation and writing skills for interface with internal and external customers. 

Basic Qualifications (Level 4):

  • Bachelor’s degree and ten years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with eight years of experience. In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and have a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) current within 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to take a Polygraph.
  • Must be knowledgeable and have experience implementing the NISPOM.
  • Must be knowledgeable and have experience implementing DODM 5205.07 volumes 1-4
  • Familiarity with the following: ICD 705, ICD 704, ICD 503, NISPOM.
  • Experience shall include direct program security experience within the DoD and IC community.
  • Exemplary presentation and writing skills for interface with internal and external customers. 

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Previous SIMS experience.
  • Previous COMSEC experience.

Salary Range: $84,600.00 - $127,000.00Salary Range 2: $104,900.00 - $157,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
