Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Senior Electrical Engineer, Fuels shall provide technical leadership and direction of engineered solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scope of works for various civil, electrical, coating, and mechanical repairs based on client-provided directives, asset photos, and feedback from site personnel for the development of SRM and RMMR.
  • Travel up to 5% to attend job walks in support of active fuels project sites to better understand the existing site conditions and troubleshoot fuel system operation issues and/or equipment performance issues.
  • Visit project sites to identify existing fuel system assets and catalog new system component assets.
  • Analyzing customer needs to determine appropriate solutions for complex technical issues.
  • Create technical diagrams, flowcharts, formulas, and other written documentation to support projects.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers/designers on projects within their areas of expertise.
  • Conduct research on new technologies and products in order to recommend improvements to current processes.
  • Develop designs for new products or systems based on customer specifications.
  • Research existing technologies to determine how they could be applied in new ways to solve problems.
  • Review existing products or concepts to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare proposals for new projects, identifying potential problems, and proposing solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • Minimum ten (10) years experience in the design of electrical systems
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with in-ground and aviation fueling systems
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Active Secret Clearance Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to provide comprehensive technical support in the design and construction oversight of engineered systems
  • Knowledge of best practice design standards, building codes with capabilities of working well with other design disciplines for purposes of coordinating successful integration of discipline-specific systems within a facility
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, and standard office software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
