Vice President, Managed Business Solutions

Robert Half and Protiviti are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Managed Business Solutions (MBS) team as Vice President and support our MBS business development efforts in the Seattle market. The geography for this role is aligned with the Protiviti West Region and Talent Solutions West and Southwestern Zone.

The Vice President (MBS) will be assigned to a geography to leverage the combined capabilities of Protiviti and Robert Half Talent Solutions, specifically for Managed Business Solutions. The objective of this role will be to achieve the annual MBS revenue goal for the assigned market by promoting strategy, communicating best practices, actively partnering with the Talent Solutions Field and Strategic Account teams on MBS client opportunities, conducting training and performance enhancements and working consultatively with the Protiviti MBS regional lead, Talent Solutions field, and Strategic Accounts leadership.

This individual will collaborate closely with their Protiviti MBS regional lead and Talent Solutions Operational President for their designated geography. Partnering closely with Protiviti MBS market leads, Talent Solutions District Directors, Executive Directors, and Strategic Account senior leadership is to be a priority in supporting the success of the market.

The Vice President (MBS) will report to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, Managed Business Solutions (MBS). 

Job Description Summary

  • Responsible for generating an annual revenue portfolio of $5M to $15M.
  • Support assigned region by aligning to and partnering with the Protiviti MBS regional lead and Talent Solutions Operational President/Senior District Director.
  • Lead proactive business development sales strategy, pipeline, and engagement across the geography, as well as nurturing and improving local relationships. 
  • Attend client meetings within geography to drive MBS revenue and demonstrate to team members how to message MBS to clients and prospects.
  • Accelerate a broader MBS-focused sales capability to target more senior level buyers to win more transformational change and multi-year offering engagements to yield high fees.
  • Identify opportunistic Client Drivers in high growth industries, new legislation, etc.
  • Partner with Protiviti MBS market and account leads to leverage client relationships. 
  • Partner with Strategic Accounts on high-potential direct contact accounts.
  • Identify MBS opportunities within Protiviti’s Global Strategic Account Management (GSAM) and Loyal Annuity Clients (LAC) by partnering jointly with Protiviti MBS Market Leads, Protiviti Account Leads and Talent Solutions Strategic Accounts.
  • Review Talent Solutions top clients to determine a listing of companies that have highest MBS potential and leverage active client relationships to introduce MBS.
  • Active participation in in-person and virtual events engaging with clients for networking and business development. Cultivation of external groups to conduct market-based, industry-focused, country-centric speaking topics.
  • Attend Protiviti Town Hall meetings to report on trends, initiatives and activities driving MBS leads and pipeline funnel.
  • Creation of impactful client messaging using data, insights and questions, statistics, and outside sources to engage in contact development and driving of MBS pursuits - new business development and enhance current client contracts.
  • Coordinate monthly meetings with Talent Solutions and Protiviti MBS Market Leads for business development coordination. review go-to-market content, indicators of need, trends, training to drive activity and engagement.
  • Reinforce MBS strategy and ensure that consistent operational and business development messages are carried to all Talent Solutions Field/Strategic Accounts and Protiviti staff.
  • Provide recommendations to the Talent Solutions district and regional management teams and MBS Protiviti leads on critical improvements needed to grow their MBS business.
  • Assist in the development of target lists to identify MBS opportunities through reviewing open MR/CFA job orders, mid cap revenue retail accounts and existing clients of the financial Talent Solutions practice groups.
  • Ensure coordinated follow-up on the 5+ Temp Out report for MBS opportunities.
  • Adopt, promote, and display a consultative manner when collaborating with Talent Solutions Field/Strategic Accounts constituents, Talent Solutions field leadership and Protiviti MBS market leads.
  • Participate and help facilitate local MBS pipeline meetings, staffing leadership meetings and Protiviti Managing Director/Director monthly meetings. Help establish consistent Protiviti and Talent Solutions joint MBS meetings for business development coordination.

Reinforce the importance of maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence. Promote

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' successful Robert Half Field or Strategic Accounts Leadership, or Protiviti leadership experience is required.
  • Accounting or finance degree and background in Professional Services/Consulting strongly preferred but not required.
  • Excellent business development, recruiting, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to have meaningful conversations and meetings with senior-level executives regarding their business that will result in long-term client relationships.
  • History of generating and exceeding business development and revenue goals or targets (either individually or in a leadership position).
  • In-depth knowledge of Management Resources and Protiviti and a proven leader and collaborator across the enterprise.
  • Successful track record of collaborating with Protiviti, Management Resources and Strategic Accounts staff in business development activities and structuring of project engagements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, consistently good business judgment, outstanding professional presence, training ability and a proven track record of success with Robert Half with practical knowledge of divisional operations and tools.
  • Adhere to the company flexible work policy.
  • Ability to travel as required to markets within assigned region, in accordance with company policy and federal, state, and local guidelines.

Salary:

The typical salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a bonus based upon achievement of performance objectives.
