Senior Project Manager & Project Manager (industrial and logistics buildings)

Locations in Poland: Warsaw / Krakow / Wroclaw / Katowice

Job description:

  • Managing, supervising and coordinating projects within the Buildings Business Line in terms of internal planning, organization, financial and legal issues.
  • Managing on behalf of Clients - logistics & manufacturing projects, from early due diligence and concept stage, through engineering, procurement and construction management & commissioning.
  • Managing due diligence and design phase, implementing Client technical and commercial requirements into the project. Setting up procurement strategies and managing tendering process for construction works. Supervising and managing construction site till final handover and commissioning.
  • Managing, advising, guiding, and directing others in the way projects are run.
  • Client management, project, cost & commercial management (contract and risk management) to avoid complaints and claims. Provide constant technical and commercial advice to Clients.
  • Working with Clients and managing their goals, expectations and requirements.
  • Coordinating required Arcadis resources and billability on projects; including on-site team of engineers and Arcadis’ subcontractors.
  • Providing a link with Clients and partners to discover new business opportunities for Arcadis. Participate and manage the internal tenders / bids to be submitted by Arcadis.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical education (M.Sc.) in architecture, buildings construction or equivalent.
  • Fluent knowledge of investment and construction process in Poland, including technical, legal regulations and commercials matters.
  • For Senior Project Manager demonstrate at least 8-10 years, and at least 5-6 years of professional experience for Project Manager, in delivering complex investment projects for logistics and industrial sectors.
  • Previous experience with FIDIC contracts and projects completed in EPCM model.
  • Able to manage construction project outside of residence, if required. Ability to work abroad on foreign project is key advantage.
  • MRICS or knowledge of RICS standards is key advantage.
  • Previous experience in consultancy company is key advantage.
  • License for construction supervision or design is advantage.
  • Fluent in both Polish and English, very high communication skill both verbal and written. Good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial acumen, sense and skill, deals with numbers with ease.
  • Agile, quickly adapts to changing conditions and requirements (esp. market, Client requirements).
  • Talks to the point and draws smart conclusions. Self and company – confident.
  • Team player and Client focused, able to take responsibility.
