EMEA Large Format Design Category Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland

We are looking for an agile, pro-active individual to join the HP Large Format Printing Category Management Team and help with the business performance of Large Format Printing Design. You will be central to integrate markets plans in order to drive the expected business performance and achieve our business and financial commitments for Germany, Austria and Switzerland

You would need to be analytical to dive into our business intelligence, but also a strategic thinker to find, package and communicate with market and country teams key business insights, a strong project manager to ensure proper management of the 13 weeks business cadence, an experienced business manager to identify opportunities to drive P&L improvements and also an influencer to get things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Broad understanding of the category product, business management and sales challenges and strategies. Drive product and portfolio strategy with sales/external partners in coordination with Sales.
  • Drive the Region and its countries towards the Revenue, Sell-thru, GM, Market Share, Channel Inventory goals.
  • Operational deployment of quarterly & yearly business plans including goal setting, key KPIs tracking (outlook & actuals). Active contribution to the definition of the category business plan. Ongoing management of 13 weeks business cadence with local sales and EMEA.
  • Monitor execution, including financial projections, market share, contra management as well as revenue.
  • Support the pricing and discount guidance to optimize contra and ensure pricing harmonization guidelines to minimize grey.
  • Support and drive the business transformation towards Online and Contractual.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Finance to ensure alignment.
  • Support/engage in projects where/when needed

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • University or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business related disciplines; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Typically, 5-7 years of professional experience with a combination of Finance, Business Planning, Product Management and/or Sales preferred.
  • Printing/Supplies and GSB Market Knowledge and understanding of online and traditional channels, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to work cross-functional (sales, supply chain, marketing)
  • Ability to lead in a matrix organization
  • Strong presenter and communicator to senior management & international partners and ability to influence
  • Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners
  • Fluency in English and German language is required
