Due to strong growth of our department we are looking for a Design Engineer Fire Detection, Alarm Evacuation & Gas Suppression

In this role you will be one of the Engineers within the Engineering Benelux group. 

You are responsible for delivering high quality functional designs that can serve project teams to execute a project fast and efficiently.

In this role you convert contractual demands into functional technical concepts using standard products added with standard solutions developed within the team or obtained through third parties or via your own input and technical skills.

You ensure that the work will be executed at a high level of quality and in accordance with the applicable procedures, standards and legal norms and requirements.

You must be able to handle multiple projects at the same time. These projects vary in content, complexity and size. Therefore we expect you to have excellent knowledge, efficient planning, clear communication and well-maintained documentation skills. 

Responsibilities :

You will have the responsibility to ensure and secure:

  • the conversion of contractual requirements into an optimal high quality functional solution and design;
  • that skills and knowledge are kept up to date applicable in concerning area of work;
  • mitigation and/or timely identification and reporting of risks and deviations in the execution of his work;
  • a safe and constructive collaboration with other team members.

Tasks :

  • receive and analyze the technical requirements of the project and the related contractual documents;
  • create technical functional designs with solutions based upon the correct interpretation of the applicable contractual documents, regulations, guidelines and specific instructions;
  • follow up to the agreed planning by closely monitoring the progression of his work and his team;
  • generate order lists of material from the technical designs for the applicable project team;
  • provide technical advice and support to the applicable project team in execution of the design;
  • contribute to the creation and maintenance of related ISO-9001 processes, procedures, instructions and forms.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in Designing Fire Suppression Systems and extensive knowledge involved in the design & inspection. Must have experience working with the following software: VdS, SDC & Fire Eater including the associated laws and regulations
  • Proven experience in Designing Fire Evacuation Alarm Systems and extensive knowledge involved in the design & inspection including the associated laws and regulations
  • Proven experience in Designing Fire Detection Systems and extensive knowledge involved in the design, inspection including the associated laws and regulations
  • Bosec Certified or willing to receive training
  • VCA-VOL or willing to receive training;
  • impeccable conduct and willing to provide proof by mean of a formal certificate of good conduct;
  • good language skills with regards to Dutch and/or French and most certainly English;
  • excellent know-how of using MS Office apps like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
