Granicus' Swagit team is looking for a talented Audio / Video (AV) Installation Technician for a full-time position on our deployment team, based out of Dallas, TX.

If you have installation/technician experience in the audio/video industry, or a strong understanding of audio/video signal flow plus installation technician experience in a related field, then this is the opportunity for you. As an AV install technician with Swagit you'll experience high visibility and the chance to work with a dedicated team committed to providing excellent customer service.

What your impact will look like here

  • Build AV broadcast systems to defined specifications including PTZ cameras, switchers, automation and streaming.
  • Determine the resources needed to complete new broadcast installations based on the deployment installation plans, diagrams and blueprints.
  • Travel to customer sites for buildout of structured cabling and installation/testing of broadcast systems.
  • Communicate with customers and peers throughout the spec, build and installation phases.
  • Troubleshoot systems including signal flow, software and basic networking issues.

You'll love this job if you have / can

  • Basic carpentry/construction knowledge.
  • Structured cabling experience for existing walls and pre-construction wire installation.
  • Extron, Crestron, AMX or similar presentation system experience (not required, but is a plus).
  • Live broadcast production (directing, camera operator, etc.) experience.
  • Climb ladders, lift over 50lbs, work in tight spaces: 1 year (Required)
  • Thorough knowledge of audio/video broadcast equipment: 2 years (Required)
  • A Sound understanding of computer hardware installation and troubleshooting: 2 years (Required)
  • A Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • 3-5 years of experience working within a Team or group setting
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Work Location Specifics

  • This position works either on-site at our Dallas, TX office, or at client & customer locations doing installs throughout northern Texas
