As part of a world leader in contact & contactless secure identification systems, our site in Austria is part of the broader global operations and works closely with other sites internationally. 

Focus for this role is targeting eGovernment, IOT and Banking areas as part of the larger R&D eSE (embedded Secure Element) SW development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Project planning & coordination of embedded SW Projects, in alignment with Chip Design 
  • Responsibility for the overall project scope, budget, resources and milestones / schedule
  • Lead and manage multi-site & multi-discipline project teams to successful project delivery
  • Manage / coordinate external partners to optimize schedules, change requests & communication
  • Translate business requirements into project tasks in close cooperation with Product Management
  • Execution of complex development projects according to defined methodologies and project milestones, including defined quality process, FMEA, task coordination and gate / financial reviews 
  • Direct extraordinary task force initiatives to handle customer specific activities as needed
  • Structure, consolidate and analyze project execution information for management reporting

Profile we are looking for:

  • Relevant Bachelor or Master degree (electronics, software engineering or similar)
  • Strong experience as project manager with complex international projects
  • Preferred background within Semiconductors industry or embedded software development
  • Able to coordinate external suppliers, certification laboratories & industry vendors
  • Experience in operating system Software development in Security related environment 
  • Nice to have experience with Smart card applications (Payment, eGovernment, Public transport).
  • Preferred to be familiar with C, Java, Assembly programming languages 
  • Desirable to be familiar with “off-card” terminals & readers, personalization & field infrastructure
  • Experience with independent 3rd party evaluations & certifications for product release
  • Capable of conceptual understanding for broader end-to-end “systems” considerations
  • Exposure to large SW development projects and reporting to senior levels of management
