Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists the CEO in the development and implementation of the mission, goals and objectives of the facility as established by the governing body. Provides general management of the hospital in close support and in the absence of the CEO in order that the hospital achieves its operating and clinical objectives. Responsible in managing daily operations of the facility, ensure compliance with hospital, TJC, federal, state, local and other regulating agency standards.

  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • The following requirements are needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary functions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. Masters preferred.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years in a management position of an administrative/leadership level in the mental health care field. CEO/COO experience preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification: None required.
  • Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of organizational theory, decision-making processes, human resource and financial management, and marketing. Must understand and act upon complex issues and problems, must communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people.
  • Working Conditions: General office and clinical areas of the hospital. Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Exposure to patients with possible communicable/infectious diseases. Hours vary and may include day, evening, night and weekend work. Occasional travel required.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Ability to communicate effectively; ability to meet travel requirements; physical agility to manage

patients (ambulatory, non-ambulatory, and physically aggressive). Able to move intermittently,

walk, stand, sit and occasionally bend and lift. 

  • JOB CLASSIFICATION: 

Exempt: Hours vary based on staffing needs and include day, evening, night and weekend shifts.
