Position Summary

Brown Advisory is currently seeking a professional, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to fill the Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor position within our Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC office. This individual should have a strong track record of proactively sourcing and attracting talent into a growing multi‐location organization.

Reporting directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will play a role in helping to manage the day‐to‐day recruiting needs of the firm, as well as provide an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience along the way. This individual will also play a role in helping to build out new processes and recruiting strategies that will help us continue to build and nurture our client-first culture. 

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process. This will include creating compelling position descriptions, sourcing diverse candidate pipelines, attracting top talent, screening candidates, advising hiring managers on the recruiting process, and negotiating job offers in both the US and abroad
  • Consult with Office Heads and senior leaders to understand and anticipate hiring needs
  • Develop proactive and sustainable sourcing and talent strategies to meet evolving business demands
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through pro‐active market research and ongoing relationship management
  • Partner with broader human resources team and other internal stakeholders to develop and manage multiple projects in order to drive efficiencies and meet strategic business objectives
  • Partner with the business to guide and support the university relations strategy and college recruiting efforts across multiple offices, business lines, and school relationships
  • Manage third party relationships to ensure appropriate service levels are being delivered and agreed terms are being executed
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with the relevant employment law
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in modern recruiting practices

Your education, technical skills, experiences, and abilities need to include: 

  • Minimum of 10+ years of recruiting experience which includes 5+ years of experience recruiting senior-level hires
  • Previous experience recruiting within the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of full-cycle recruiting
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects, and client relationships
  • Working knowledge of recruiting metrics, assessment tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations as it relates to talent acquisition
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work in our Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC office at least 4 days a week

We would also love to see but not required:

  • At least one (1) year of previous agency recruiting experience
  • A HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SCRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.)
  • Previous experience with recruiting internationally
  • Prior experience with Workday
  • Previous experience with campus recruiting
