Role Overview

Our placement interns are our future engineers. From day one, our interns are treated as valued members of their team. As part of our Placement Program, you’ll have the opportunity to have intimate conversations with key business leaders, receive guidance and support from our mentorship program and build a global network with other interns. You’ll also receive support from our emerging talent team as you continuously refine and reflect on your broader career goals through your time in this program.

Data Engineering Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analyzing large-scale datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Analytics Engineering, GTC Analytics, Marketing, Product, and more, to understand and address customer needs effectively
  • Work towards developing a deep understanding of our data products, systems, and tech stack to best support our customers
  • Participate in agile methodology framework, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently

  • Participate in training programs and workshops designed to enhance your technical skills and domain knowledge
  • Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge data engineering technologies

Successful candidates will be:

  • Currently studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, with a strong academic record and eligibility for a placement opportunity between June - August 2024.
  • Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python
  • Excited by technology, curious and eager to learn new data engineering technologies such as database management, AWS, Terraform, Snowflake/Data Lakehouses, Airflow, Fivetran and more
  • Excellent problem solvers who can effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinkers who are eager to innovate and drive solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
