Sensata Interns have the unique opportunity to work on a technical project their team is tackling. Throughout the internship experience, you will receive direct feedback from peers and managers, engage with other interns in the program, and will have multiple learning opportunities through Lunch and Learn presentations with different Business Leaders and training courses. Our Intern Program is inclusive to our US sites and is designed to give each intern a concentrated view of what it is like to be a full time employee at Sensata.

Internship projects vary from year to year and are based on current business needs at the time of the internship. Specific details will be provided prior to your start date, but all projects are technical and should have foundational understanding of IT-Data Analyst principles.

As an IT- Data Analyst Intern possible responsibilities could include:

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
  • Create visually appealing and insightful data visualizations using tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and objectives for analytical projects.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Support the team in creating & validating reports and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Communicate complex data-driven concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating existing data visualizations and reports.
  • Build & cleanse data pipelines using Python.
  • Support different AI/ML algorithms and statistical models and modify them as needed.

Successful candidates will be able to:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and basic calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking capability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn about data analysis and visualization techniques.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts is a plus.
  • Prior experience or projects showcasing data visualization skills are a plus.v

Requirements:

  • Must be currently pursuing B.S., M.Eng., or M.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Etc. from an accredited program
  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident is NOT required for this position, however proper work authorizations will be requiredv
