Your Opportunity

As a Marketing Specialist, you’ll play an integral role in the development and execution of creative ideas, branding opportunities and business development strategies. As trusted advisors, our team collaborates with designers, engineers, scientists, planners, and project managers across the company to promote our brand, and our projects that advance the quality of life in communities around the world..

Working with the Marketing Lead, the Marketing Specialist helps implement the approved regional promotional plan and approved sector marketing plans using a mix of marketing tools including industry events, client events, association events, advertising, media, community investment, professional and business associations, social media, direct mail/eDM, conferences/tradeshows, and others as defined.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support for brand promotion activity relating to sponsorships, tradeshows, conferences, events and activities for a variety of services and business sectors.
  • Work with key business development leaders to coordinate strategic materials and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand.
  • Writing thoughtful, high-impact, and engaging collateral that highlights our depth of experience, expertise, and creativity.
  • Developing and executing social media campaigns to promote strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate involvement in corporate community engagement events and activities.
  • Organise advertising and photography to support marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain marketing operational tools and systems.
  • Develop market facing communications and visual displays in partnership with the graphic design team.
  • Support the delivery of campaigns to promote key growth areas, as identified by our Leaders
  • Write content for our regional website including project and people profiles
  • Support our pursuit team with material required for proposal development.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Collaborative, conscientious and creative
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised with exceptional prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly InDesign), and other desktop publishing programs is also desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively within a group, as well as independently, and enjoy working with different personality styles and management levels, both in person and across geographies.
  • Must feel comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related area preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a marketing or communications related role, five years preferably.
  • Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction or other professional services industry is preferred but not essential.
