West Monroe is excited to hire a Senior Data Strategy & Business Analytics Advisor to join our Technology Transaction Services Practice (TTS) and deliver on M&A due diligence projects. This role will partner with other TTS advisory consultants (Cloud/Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering) and executive client stakeholders to provide assessments across a variety of industries, including Private Equity, High-Tech & Software, Healthcare, and Financial Services. This is an exciting opportunity to join an employee-centric firm and lead strategic data due diligence assessments, post-merger integrations, and carve-out advisory engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with TTS consultants from other competencies (Software, Cloud/Infra, Cyber) in support of tech due diligence assessments for client M&A activity
  • Identify growth and remediation opportunities through analysis of existing data engineering stack, analytics systems/platforms, business processes, and data monetization opportunities
  • Assess underlying technology/libraries/tooling landscape within enterprise organizations to make recommendations to strategic investors on improving market readiness, achieving long-term scalability, and/or reducing operational cost
  • Formulate strategic investment summaries, key risk mitigation analyses, and long-term technology-based strategy for both pre-close and post-close projects
  • Establish the linkage between business strategy and data strategy (and vice versa) to deliver impactful outcomes
  • Stay abreast of data engineering technology trends and their practical (or potential) application to help clients understand the ‘art of the possible’ with innovative and disruptive solutions
  • Drive new business with existing clients by identifying unique opportunities and liaising to appropriate client leads, account managers, or business developers
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior data engineers/architects/BI analysts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience required
  • Consulting firm/industry experience preferred
  • 10+ years of hands-on data engineering/architecture experience in areas like ETL development, data warehousing, data visualization, data modeling, data lakes/marts, business intelligence, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Exposure to common public cloud platforms and services like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Well-versed in standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within enterprise data warehousing/BI environments
  • Excellent critical thinking, leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 days/month for client engagements
  • Bonus: data or IT M&A due diligence experience

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
