About the Role

The Software Engineering Intern will be working with experienced senior engineers to perform software related tasks on various OEM projects. In addition, this intern will also be involved in testing and verifying the In-Vehicle Infotainment’s Radio/Tuner middleware stack and applications. There will also be one intern summer project related to that the intern will contribute to either individually or in a team setting.

What You Will Do

  • Take the Harman Agile SW Training
  • Learn the Harman SW Development Process
  • Learn to compile code on your assigned SW project.
  • Learn to reflash the code on our assigned SW project.
  • Contribute to fixing defects on your assigned SW Project.
  • Run unit test cases and integration test cases on any embedded code you write.
  • Assisting in the execution of the stability and KPI metrics.
  • Assisting in the identification of process-related Continual Improvement Opportunities.
  • Compile, build and review the source code and provide the traceability as per the ASPICE.
  • Complete 1 summer intern project and provide a presentation at the end of the summer to your peers.

What You Need

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program.
  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Must have C or C++ embedded programming knowledge.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives.
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI or remotely as needed.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Must provide full work availability from May 20, 2024 through August 9, 2024 and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload
