Position Overview

The Senior Photo and Video Producer is a production role involved in all facets of producing photo and video shoots across Polo brands within Ralph Lauren Advertising. Responsibilities include pre- and post-production, to sourcing photographers, DPs, hair, and makeup, booking studios / locations, organizing all shoot day logistics, managing freelance talent, and working closely with the design, creative and project management teams.

This individual should be comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume working environment, and skilled in maintaining and continuously improving upon workflow efficiencies. Superior communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities between and across business groups. This position is responsible for both production and administrative work. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Work directly with creative/art directors, stylists, casting director, and project managers on the development of the shoots 

  • Work directly with marketing leads to ensure that budgets are in line with deliverables that have been briefed in, and if they are not, communicate effectively the proper budget needed to execute against the deliverables briefed.
  • Negotiate rates and book above the line crew (photographers, directors, DP’s) and below the line (crew), plus hair and make-up artists, tailors, animal talent, locations, fit models, studios, caterers, and more.
  • Coordinate and secure all travel arrangements for all crew.
  • Generate shoot estimates and ensure the shoot stays within the budget allowed from the internal Ralph Lauren marketing team.
  • Manage all aspects of shoot production logistics: artist booking, calendar management, issuing POs and invoice management.
  • Manage the on set production and any external freelance production support.
  • Negotiate usage fees with agents for archival imagery & footage. 
  • Reconcile all shoot related billing and expenses.
  • Work with internal teams on continuing to find efficiencies on how to best approach photo shoots within the company, including partnering with other Ralph Lauren producers plus cross-functional team members i.e. design, marketing, and creative 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Strong negotiation and budget management skills.

  • Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong budgeting skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to form partnerships across cross-functional internal teams – Creative, Marketing, Design, Social, Casting, etc.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.
  • Willing to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally. 
  • Deep understanding of fashion, design, and brand aesthetics.
