Job Summary/Description:

We are seeking a well-qualified, passionate, goal-driven, and strategic Media Sales Operations Analyst for our Telemundo Station Group. This media professional will be instrumental in capitalizing sales opportunities for Gray's local Telemundo stations by streamlining sales processes, communication, and providing turnkey sales presentations related to Spanish-language programming and digital products. The individual will be accountable for maximizing Hispanic television, digital & OTT revenue by working with Gray's 42 Telemundo Stations.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to):

  • Optimize sales processes and workflows between stations, and national teams to traffic.
  • Assists with developing and implementing sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
  • Optimize the efficiency of sales process by providing support where/when needed.
  • Work with VP of Sales and station management on sales forecasting and budgeting.
  • Extensive use of Wide Orbit Sales & Traffic, Matrix, Nielsen, and ComScore ratings software as well as Excel & PowerPoint to perform trending analyses and proposal creation.
  • Expected to directly contact all of Ad Sales, including senior management, additionally liaising with various departments, including, but not limited to Research, Finance, Programming, and Traffic.
  • Consistently evaluate internal systems and procedures to assist with comprehension, efficiencies, and transparency on inter-departmental bases.
  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on, dive into details, identify and recognize issues, and offer multiple solution paths.
  • Knowledge and experience with Hispanic media ad sales and relationships with Local, Regional, and National advertising agencies and clients.
  • Candidates should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenges simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with station management by identifying potential issues and help develop customized solutions to help the station exceed goals.
  • Create sales and marketing sponsorship/promotion plans, literature, and advertising proposals for stations.
  • Communicate effectively to sales management to ensure accurate generation of tracking reports regarding pending deals, forecasts, advertiser, contact, and prospect lists.
  • Prepares weekly /monthly /annual sales activity reports and helps maintain accurate forecasts by account.
  • Be a hands-on leader, self-starter, resourceful, and able to identify and articulate opportunities for product/process improvement with significant revenue potential.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Pricing & Inventory/Planning experience; developing Planning strategies, and modeling sales forecasts.
  • Relationship builder with an engaging and energetic personality and desire to contribute to the team to win.
  • Goal-driven and self-motivated individual who challenges self to exceed targets.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred but not required.)
  • Knowledge of Wide Orbit, Matrix as well as MS Office products: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
