The Role

You will work with senior leaders across the organization in Europe towards the delivery of a high-impact, value-adding people operations vision and strategy that enables business growth and creates a world class people experience. You will advise and guide leaders on people development, engagement, compensation and benefits to strengthen People leadership at Zeotap and boost retention in teams.

This role will interact with all levels of the organization across multiple functions through providing subject matter expertise on all people operations initiatives and practice to ensure we can innovatively and successfully impact retention and employee life cycle at Zeotap.

This role is based in Berlin, Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • You will manage the People Operations team across Europe
  • You will be the first point of contact for all employee questions across Europe and support them on all people-related questions/concerns
  • You will be responsible together with the team for all administrative topics in the life cycle of an employee such as work contracts, contract changes, references, absences, visa applications, internal guidelines, employment confirmations, terminations, resignation confirmations, correspondence with various partners (health insurance companies, HR service providers), etc.
  • You will manage with the team a professional and smooth on- and off-boarding for all employees and ensure our people have a great experience during that time
  • You will be responsible for the maintenance of the employee management system (Personio), ensuring correct information tracking and reporting
  • You will organise our employee benefits and continuously expand the offer
  • You will manage our Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP) together with the founders: drawing up agreements, handing out and answering questions, managing the share pool, etc.
  • You will run the preparatory payroll in Germany, Spain, Italy, France and the UK
  • You will drive data-driven decisions and produce reports to support the Zeotap team/investors in their decisions
  • You will get the chance to contribute to our process development projects in order to improve our day-to-day workflows and products and bring in lots of your creative idea

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in HR / People Operations in an international context, preferably within fast growing start-ups.
  • You have min 2 years of experience leading a high-performing People Operations team, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in European employment law with a focus on German employment law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: native German and fluent English (another European language is a plus)
  • You have experience in the planning, development and implementation of HR projects in various areas of HR work
  • Business Coaching skills are a plus
  • You like to work analytically and let data guide your decision making
  • You are communicative and confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing professionals and circumstancesYou work in a very structured, proactive and independent manner
  • You are a big fan of fast execution and understand that getting your hands dirty is the bare minimum
  • You have a project management mindset: you think logically through stages of activities, you plan, deliver and follow up; you master the art of translating data into information
  • Are curious and inquisitive and thrive on listening to people and understanding their backgrounds, needs and aspirations
  • Enjoy the teamwork and are able to demonstrate autonomy and initiative
