The Technical Instructor - Vehicle and Generator Maintenance position is part of the Ministry of Peshmerga Forces Logistics Training Support program which trains Peshmerga forces on various logistical and maintenance requirements for US fielded equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Responsible to provide tactical level maintenance training (level I) and sustainment training (level II and III) for fielded/available Peshmerga vehicles (MRAP and HMMWV) and USG generators, 3K,5K and 10K and other on-hand USG-furnished tactical generator models to 
  • enable Peshmerga Trainees to achieve Level I through Level III proficiency.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering training to the Peshmerga Forces on MRAP Engines and HMMWV engines with the assistance of an interpreters.
  • Responsible for assist Peshmerga maintenance mechanics and supervisors in achieving and sustaining the Army Maintenance Standard for assigned equipment.
  • Responsible for training Peshmerga Sustainment Personnel to possess the 
  • ability to properly perform required repairs and replacements of defective parts and systems at the Organizational level (20 series) and Direct Support level (30 series).

Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 8 years’ related experience required. 
  • Prior military experience is preferred.
  • US Army 63B, 63S or civilian equivalent preferred. Previous Army base instructor Course.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret U.S. Army Technical Manuals with relation to maintenance and repairs.
  • Prior instructor experience preferred. Prior instructor experience training at the MRAP University Certification school, or attended the Instructor Certification Program, or Navistar FSR certificate. Foreign military forces with interpreters are highly desired.
