The Opportunity: Senior Financial Analyst – Global Digital (New York City)

The Senior Financial Analyst position plays a key role within Chubb’s Digital Acceleration Office, a specialized team that works closely with the Chief Digital Business Officer and senior digital leaders to drive growth of Chubb’s digital business worldwide. 

Your mission will be to expand, hone, and own processes for both tracking and reporting of business analytics and key performance indicators for our Digital Business. Your insights will inform strategic decisions crucial to our digital growth and will highlight opportunities.

Your work's scope will include financial and business analysis of existing partnership and business results, potential partnerships, competitive positioning, cost benefit and return analyses, and market assessments. Your impact will be delivered through an expanding core of regular-cadence financial reporting deliverables (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly) complemented by on-demand analyses and potentially special projects of longer duration.

You will partner in near daily collaboration with our Finance team. In addition to Finance and your direct team peers, this position affords a unique opportunity to interact with the Digital Teams across regions (North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, EMEA) and lines of business.

Responsibilities

Provide management with accurate and timely financial information so informed business decisions can be made. This will include the responsibilities to:

  • Assist with consolidation of business development partnership pipeline information for Business Leaders to deliver clear and accurate insights that identify and drive actions at the front lines and feed into monthly /quarterly/annual forecasts
  • Enhance, expand, and produce data and financial and business metrics reports to support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business tracking 
  • Monitor data quality, correct when needed, and develop systematic approaches for flagging issues and ensuring continuous data quality improvement
  • Assist with build of annual plan and quarterly forecasting, as a key member of the team
  • Development of business reports and providing support to related users.
  • 2-3 years of overall professional experience required with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated track record of rigor, ambition, and orientation to results, for example a role in management consulting, banking, or excellence in other challenging roles or studies
  • Four-year degree in Business, Economics, or other relevant area of study when complemented by equivalent experience understanding financial statements and business analysis
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, plus ability to collaborate across disciplines and levels of management/staff
  • Ability to problem solve and work effectively and independently, to manage multiple projects and to prioritize appropriately
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and preferably exposure to financial reporting tools (e.g., TM1, QlikSense, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of a general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python) preferred. Exposure to querying databases (e.g., SQL based)
  • Experience with Property and Casualty Insurance and/or insurance accounting / financial knowledge understanding (Preferred)

The pay range for the role is $80,500 to $137,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
