The SAP Functional Analyst works with the production support team to deliver Incident and Change Mgmt. This includes writing of functional and configuration design document for the business requirements to be changed or enhanced. Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to validate business processes and system setup by carefully testing the standalone & end to end scenarios, identifying root cause and implement the fix.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks 

  • Provide hands-on support in SAP Sales & Distribution & Logistic Execution, take responsibility for SAP SD/LE related Incident and Change Mgmt. incl. Enhancements
  • Work closely with business super users and other EAS system analysts to define and design future solutions for order management operation; capture requirements, design and develop a system solution
  • Analyze complex business problems or requirements and design cost-effective and suitable solutions to meet them, incl. cross functional integration aspects between the modules
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet the business requirements
  • Develop and continually maintain skills in SAP features, functions, and processes
  • Develop skills in configuring the SAP system as required by the business
  • Configure system settings and options; plan and support the unit, integration, and acceptance testing
  • Develop test scenarios, test plans & other documentation, incl. master data setup
  • Prepare for and conduct training for business users and others in SAP functions
  • Work with internal & external developers to develop and test programs
  • Design and write functional and work with the developer to deliver the changes
  • Use software tools to analyze SAP database in the process of data validation and solving business issues
  • Adhere to Varian’s process in managing the changes through the technical landscape

Experience & Language Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ work experience is mandatory
  • Min. 5+ years’ functional expertise in SAP SD/LE Module, SAP-GTS would be a plus!
  • 5+ years’ experience in SAP ERP Application Maintenance Support (AMS) / Projects
  • Experienced focus on SAP SD/LE Order Processing MTO/MTS, Pricing, ATP/TOR, Billing, ALE IDOC, EDI IDOC, STO, GTS, RAR-RevRec with a background in ABAP development and support
  • Strong learning abilities – keen to learn and expand knowledge into new areas and technologies
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills

Education 

BE, B Tech, MSc, MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science

  • Master’s degree will be a plus - MBA (IT/Sales/Marketing/FI)
