Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document Safety Instructions under HSE Manager supervision 
  • Monitoring that all HSE checks are done properly and on time by the responsible teams being able to stop, put on hold and inform management any production or processes that do not comply with specifications or standards 
  • Supports the investigation of incidents (accidents or HRPs) including documentation, RCA and corrective actions 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Supports internal/external audits to assure compliance and continuous improvement HSE 
  • Capture and analyse HSE data for identification of focus areas 
  • Ensure data for reporting duties in HSE always updated for properly reporting on time 
  • Runs special projects and investment projects related to HSE 
  • Provide refresher trainings under the supervision of the HSE Manager

Qualifications:

Professional Experience and Education 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required 
  • Associate’s degree in a technical or production-related field of work preferred. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a technical or manufacturing environment 
  • Ideal: Basic legal Training in HSE (safety advisor or representative, min. 30h) 

Specific knowledge 

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and able to put ideas into tangible form 
  • Skilled in organization and priority setting 
  • Ability to manage and execute on multiple, critical projects simultaneously 
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Solid oral and written communications skills (Local language & English) to share complex issues in a comprehensive & understandable way 
  • Consistently seeks learning opportunities to develop organization and as an individual 
  • Critical thinking capacities to challenge the status quo and bring change where necessary 
  • Capability to work independently and drive a HSE issue to effective resolution 
  • Versatile and collaborative member of a team focused on achieving results
