About the role / Segment

Provide technical assistance to our Custom IC Flow customers world-wide to make them effective using our tools

Contribute to the expansion of the product line and our installed base with providing best-in-class Support, in particular proactively and professionally communicating with customers to make their experience with our tools as successful as possible

Regular interact with the various stakeholders working on the same product line: Field AEs, Product Engineering and QA

Participate to new initiatives developed within the Customer Support team and the value the team brings to the success of the Product Line, through positive and dynamic attitude, as well as significant involvement in ramping up as quickly as possible to become very knowledge on the technical side.

Area of responsibility

Consolidate and develop knowledge and experience on Tanner tools and on Custom IC flow in general.

Provide Support to some of our Tanner customers, choice of cases made under the guidance of manager and experienced team members for a progressive ramp up. Assess and reproduce customers' problems and provide resolution or workaround.

Follow Global Support goals, objectives and metrics (response time, backlog …).

Develop technical content to be made available on our Support Center portal: Support Kits, TechNotes, Videos.

Participate to product testing when required by manager and during specific campaigns.

Report externally and internally found software bugs to R&D. Perform accurate and extended testing before reporting and report in a well documented way.

Make regular and effective reporting to your manager. Involve manager as soon as needed and escalate to him immediately any tricky situation, in particular if customer related.

Your qualifications

MSc or BSc in Microelectronics or VLSI design.

Problem solving skills. Able to demonstrate solid and accurate reasoning skills and methodology in advanced technical areas.

Understanding of IC design.

Abilities to clearly describe a problem and explain a solution, with giving right context and required technical details.

Good interpersonal skills for effective and friendly exchanges with customers and colleagues.

Good communication skills to proactively exchange with customers, value them but also our tools, be able to handle tougher users in a smooth manner.

Abilities to work in an international environment, with various colleagues in different time zones and a remote manager.

Abilities to work in a dynamic and agile environment.

Understanding of the sense of urgency and priorities.

Abilities to do synthetical reporting, both oral and written.
