  1. Ensure phone support for technicians and customers (30%)
  • Perform technical support for customers;
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance for the installation and service teams and end users;
  • Configure the remote DVR system for the installer;
  • Capture a photo from each of the cameras and provide an installation report to invoice the client;
  • Manage, review and send applicable activities reports to customers.
  1. Verify condition of DVR systems (30%)
  • Read condition reports and identify the problem systems;
  • Review the DVR systems’ verification reports that list errors and take initiative to contact customers, assistance or service.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on DVRs;
  • Open service tickets for technicians on the road;
  • Respond to technicians on-site and ensure the problem is resolved;
  • Capture images as proof that the system has recovered;
  • Complete database reports and journals for all services provided during the job.
  • 3. Perform image verification (30%)
  • Provide periodic reports to verify images and videotapes, distribute and take action to make corrections.
  1. Perform various requests (image and video) (5%)
  • Recover and produce images of the incidents at customers’ locations and secure the evidence storage for the agencies that enforce the law and/or for the officer in charge of customer investigations when contacted by phone and/or email. Establish priorities through discussions with customers and the agencies responsible for law enforcement;
  • Conduct remote investigations for intrusion detection signals received by alarm surveillance companies by using the “DVR” system, identify the cause of the alarm, distribute resources appropriately as soon as possible and create incident reports;
  • Conduct remote surveillance of customer properties, predetermine the dates, hours and frequency that exceptional and unauthorized activities are detected, and create incident reports;
  • 5. Other responsibilities (5%)
  • Perform any other related tasks at the request of his or her immediate supervisor;
  • Assist his or her immediate supervisor and work colleagues in performing their duties, when required;
  • Maintain a positive attitude and help promote a harmonious and healthy job atmosphere;
  • Ensure a relationship of collaboration, availability and flexibility with other departments within the company;
  • Ensure proper order in his or her work environment;
  • Promote company values through his or her attitudes and behaviours.
  • Knowledge of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the Windows environment;
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, video editing/video image editing;
  • Genetec video & March Networks programming/troubleshooting experience preferred;
  • Flexibility to work in on call rotation;
  • Punctuality;
