What you’ll be doing...

As a Marketing Automation Specialist , you’ll be part of a highly skilled group of marketing technologists who are responsible for the Verizon Business Group customer experience (CX) and marketing technology (Martech) stack. You’ll use your Adobe Marketo Engage expertise to deliver new capabilities, optimize platform performance, and keep the platform running smoothly. Working with Martech, IT, and database marketing team members, you’ll design and implement the technology and data flows needed to power complex, omni-channel customer journeys and marketing campaigns. As a respected expert, you’ll provide best practices guidance, deskside coaching, and training for new capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on work to configure, integrate, troubleshoot, document, and manage four instances of Adobe Marketo Engage.
  • Prioritizing and managing end user requests submitted through Adobe Workfront and clearly communicate project timelines and progress.
  • Translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions in order to launch new use cases or add enhancements to existing journeys and campaigns.
  • Developing new functionality in Adobe Marketo Engage and other martech or CX platforms.
  • Assessing usage of the platform and proactively finding ways to increase usage.
  • Recommending best practice solutions, including testing strategies, campaign builds, and dynamic personalization approaches, to the campaign execution team and other stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and optimizing platform performance and data flows between systems.
  • Finding opportunities to automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
  • Working with IT team to build, test and implement new APIs.
  • Writing technical user stories and creating process and platform documentation.
  • Drafting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, leading a cross-function team through UAT, and participating in go/no go discussions.
  • Assisting with UAT and proofs of concept across the martech stack and new technology evaluations as needed.

What we’re looking for...

You're an Adobe Marketo Engage expert with experience working with other Martech and CX platforms. You like to find innovative, outside of box solutions as well as managing the everyday tasks that keep the Martech stack running smoothly. You actively participate in team and cross-functional meetings. Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, you act with a sense of urgency and deliver on-time, on-budget results. You are able to lead meetings, track action items, and push deliverables to completion. You enjoy working both in a team and independently, and you are always proactive. You have a clear understanding of technical and data problem solving but also have a business-oriented vision. You understand how operational roles solve everyday business needs. 

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of hands-on technical experience working in Adobe Marketo Engage.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver a technical solution or stand up new technology
  • Two or more years of experience aligning key stakeholders, determining project schedules, and identifying risk mitigation strategies.
  • Two or more years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities while delivering results on-time and on budget.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform and other Adobe Experience Cloud applications.
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront, Adobe Fusion, Jira, and G Suite.
  • Advanced HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce Cloud.
  • Experience with Voice of Customer platforms like Medallia, Qualtrics, Alida, Verint, etc.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team, embrace change, and work in an iterative development environment. Marketing Automation Specialist.
