JOB SYNOPSIS

GEICO is looking for a highly skilled Manager, Social Content Strategy to lead our social content team in the development and execution of creative and strategy across social media. You will work cross functionally with internal stakeholders and external creative and media agencies to plan and execute social for both full-funnel omni-channel campaigns and social-led initiatives. You will lead your team in keeping up with the latest in social media culture, and your work will drive business results for GEICO’s portfolio of business lines. You will help our creative teams harness the power of the GEICO brand and translate to social media.

You will guide and review all social creative development with external creative agencies and have direct responsibility over an internal social creative development team. You will review the needs of various concurrent campaigns/workstreams and allocate resources to accomplish the objectives of each campaign while balancing efficiency and creative proficiency. You will have direct responsibility over GEICO owned social media presence and channel management, and you will work with internal partners across media to collaborate on paid and earned. You and your team will be directly responsible for community management and collaborating with other internal stakeholders like PR, DEI, product, and customer service, on how best to represent the entire enterprise on social media.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years in Social Strategy or related position 
  • 2+ years leadership experience with direct reports
  • Strong understanding of full funnel advertising on social media
  • Experience working on social media as part of omni-channel campaigns
  • Understanding of Paid, Owned, and Earned ecosystem
  • Experience managing both external creative agencies and internal creative teams
  • Strong understanding of creative and production process
  • Managed corporate social account infrastructure and governance
  • Experience with Sprinklr or similar social media management software

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and review production of all social creative content production across Paid, Owned, and Earned via creative agencies, internal creative teams, and partners/influencers
  • Develop and maintain planning and content calendar resources for maximum transparency across Paid, Owned, and Earned activity
  • Lead Paid, Owned, and Earned creative briefs that provide inspiration, clarity, and business objectives to internal and external creative teams
  • Drive measurement initiatives with social team and analytics partners, derive actionable insights for creative teams, and track learnings over time to help optimize channel and creative strategy
  • Lead team to conduct social listening for the brand and benchmark against competitive activity
  • Lead the community management function and collaborate with customer service team for holistic view into GEICO’s engagement on social media
  • Ensure all creative executions adhere to platform best practices, leverage latest trends and insights, and lean into contextual relevance where applicable 
  • Develop and enhance platform specific content strategies and best practices for GEICO
  • Manage and operate all of GEICO’s owned social media channels including Twitter/X, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to appropriately represent corporate narratives on social media: PR, DEI, Product, Service
  • Partners with brand and agency counterparts to amplify and enhance omni-channel marketing campaigns via social media
  • Collaborates with Marketing counterparts to identify new digital partnerships and influencer programs
  • Prioritize and support all GEICO lines of business on social media to drive business results
