About this role 

Udemy Business is growing quickly, and so are our global Sales and Customer Success teams! We are looking for a Senior Director of Sales & Customer Success Enablement who has experience building out Enablement organizations in fast-growing B2B SaaS companies. You’ll own the global team, strategy, and execution for all go-to-market enablement programs. As a learning company, we understand great learning and upskilling programs truly move the needle. You’ll make a huge impact on the business, driving success metrics like revenue generation, customer retention, accurate forecasting, pipeline conversion and velocity, quota attainment, time to new-hire productivity, and Sales & Customer Success employee engagement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Hire, manage and coach world-class Sales & Customer Success enablement teams (including sales teams in all stages and segments from business development to emerging, enterprise and strategic). 
  • Design, develop, and implement a robust and scalable sales & customer success enablement strategy for a global team of hundreds of reps. Including, but not limited to, creating skills frameworks, leading & implementing our Sales Methodology, developing a Sales & Customer Success roadmap, and developing ongoing enablement & training programs to ensure team alignment with key messages and processes. 
  • In partnership with your team, lead all Training initiatives (including theme development, agenda creation, timelines, program management, etc.) for programs such as new hire onboarding, SME sessions, remediation initiatives to skill-up weak areas, etc.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage the organization’s sales & customer success certification program and tracking system including needs analysis, performance tracking, manager appraisals, and other feedback loop mechanisms.
  • Establish strong partnerships & alignment with key stakeholders at all levels in the organization including product, sales, customer success, and marketing to ensure ongoing effectiveness & successful implementation of new programs/products. Leverage frontline sales & customer success managers as agents of enablement.
  • Measure and evaluate the ROI of enablement programs ensuring that everything we do has a direct impact on key business metrics. Partner with marketing, sales, customer success, and sales operations on team alignment as well as mid-year meetings, and the enablement portion of Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Spend time in the field with managers & reps, gathering insights. Map the sales & customer success process with our customer’s buying journey to understand and enhance the skills, knowledge, process, and tools required by our teams to increase velocity and conversion rates at each stage in those processes.
  • Develop a strategy for managing the sales & customer success enablement content repository and ensure that all information is easily and readily accessible at the point of need. Create engaging learning activities & exercises from start to finish in the designated e-learning platform.

What you’ll have

  • 10+ years experience in B2B SaaS 
  • 5+ years leading a team of sales and or customer success enablement professionals working at a fast-growing SaaS company
  • A strong understanding of the different Sales & CS roles and enablement needs in B2B SaaS companies from design to execution and operation 
  • Past experience creating Sales & Customer Success Enablement Strategies for teams in the 200-500-person range
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire global, cross-functional teams, adapt and bring innovative ideas to encourage team growth via strong communication skills.
  • Experience enabling first-time sales & customer success managers, specifically on sales processes, methodologies, technology, & fundamentals, including building frameworks that sales & customer success managers can use with their teams
  • Experience with creation, facilitation and delivery of enablement content, including, but not limited to, presentations, decks & videos. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, equity and a bonus.
