Resource Management Operations

  • Lead the transition from tactical scheduling to strategic Resource Management (RM) within the Attest Practice.
  • Implement consistent business practices for assigning available employees to projects based on skillsets, experience, goals, and availability.
  • Collaborate with regional Resource Managers for capacity planning, forecasting, workload monitoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure cross-office sharing of resources and measure process effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships for resource management solutions, optimizing support for application development and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish RM Scorecard, defining and measuring KPIs.

Business Analysis

  • Understand and influence performance to achieve leverage and pricing goals
  • Expert knowledge of the Attest Practice
  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly business trends, diagnose problems, and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Strike a balance between flexibility and process consistency.

Communication / Collaboration

  • Effectively communicate feedback, expectations, and difficult messages.
  • Promote a collaborative culture, motivate, and lead by example.
  • Lead the RM team's collaboration with HR regarding performance management, workforce planning, skills profiling, and vendor relationships.
  • Maximize employee experience by balancing career desires with business needs.

  • Collaborate with Director of Customer Success to ensure usage and adoption objectives for RM processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with relevant groups, including Corporate Finance, Financial Services Finance Group, Financial Planning & Analysis, National Tax Office, Mayer Hoffman McCann, and IT.

Business and HR Responsibilities

  • Oversee the professional development of a team
  • Manage matrix connections with Resource Managers in local offices and practice groups.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, set clear expectations in the goal-setting process, and provide regular feedback.

Candidate Attributes

  • Proficiency in human resource and project management.
  • Ability to use technology, analytical tools, and resource management software.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, resilience, and good decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable as both a strategic team member and a hands-on contributor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of operations within the accounting firm industry
  • Experience with change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Previous experience as a project/resource/HR manager or in the related industry
  • Ability to influence others and move toward common goals
  • CPA Preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
