Responsibilities

Payroll Processing:

  • Handle monthly payroll tasks including new appointments, terminations, staff changes, field team claims, leave, and allowances.
  • Prepare monthly payroll journal for processing by the Finance team.

SARS PAYE Tasks:

  • Perform monthly EMP201 filing & payment.
  • Conduct bi-annual IRP5 reconciliation and filing.

UIF Submissions:

  • Process monthly UIF submissions and assist employees with claims.

Workman’s Compensation:

  • Submit annual Workman’s Compensation declarations, arrange payments, and obtain Letters of Good Standing.

Employment Equity:

  • Act as an administrative secretary for EE Committee meetings.
  • Report on workforce profile as required.
  • Prepare and submit annual EE reports.

Recruitment Support:

  • Support Recruitment Manager with employment offers, contracts, termination letters, job analysis, and descriptions.
  • Assist in sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and conducting candidate assessments.
  • Conduct reference checks and provide onboarding support for new hires.
  • Maintain candidate database and conduct market research as needed.
  • Assist in relationship management with candidates and track performance metrics.
  • Contribute to talent pipelining efforts and support employer branding initiatives.
  • Assist in diversity and inclusion initiatives and recruitment marketing efforts.

HR Policy and Procedure Advisory:

  • Advise employees on company HR policies and procedures.

Trainee Administration:

  • Record training program and progress of Trainees.
  • Arrange assessments with Managers.
  • Process progress increases on payroll and ERP.

Statutory Compliance Tasks:

  • Prepare and submit annual CIPC returns.
  • Prepare and submit CIPC documents for changes to company information.
  • Prepare annual B-BBEE sworn affidavits.

Provident Fund and Benefits Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records with service providers.
  • Prepare and submit monthly returns.
  • Assist with preparation of exit and other claims.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll and ERP systems.
  • Thorough understanding of SA employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint.
