About the role

In this newly created role as Regional Sales Manager for Proactive Health you will be responsible for managing and growing our Proactive Health technologies into the supplements and nutraceuticals, food & beverages sector in the Gulf and Pakistan region. This will include both working directly with leading Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Supplements industry players and with distributors active in this market. You will work closely with the various support Kerry functions across Sales Teams, Commercial Leadership, Marketing, R&D and Regulatory.

This is an exciting regional opportunity to develop and expand our clinically backed Functional Ingredients Solutions into this market. The ideal candidate will have strong insights into the nutritional supplements category, with excellent industry knowledge, and will bring to Kerry a developed, strong network of contacts and an established recognition with Industry players.

Key responsibilities

  • Own, build and execute an effective strategy to deliver a strong opportunity pipeline in the market for our Functional Ingredients and other newly acquired technologies.
  • Build awareness in the market of Kerry’s emerging presence in the Functional Ingredients area by being a strong ambassador internally in Kerry and externally in the market- place
  • Identify and target potential clients, build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Meet assigned sales targets and drive sales growth through effective account management.
  • Establish route to market including the leading of projects to set up distribution models, as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and educational materials to support the sales effort.
  • Represent Kerry products and oversee end to end approval process of functional ingredients with DRIP and other regulatory authorities in Pakistan and in GCC region.
  • Drive new initiatives, including identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, expanding our customer base, and managing the entire sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Stay current with market trends, industry developments, and customer needs to proactively identify opportunities for new products and market expansion, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates, and participate in the development of annual sales plans and budgets.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote our proactive health ingredients and build brand awareness in the market.
  • Collaborate with the Regional and global proactive health team to develop and implement promotional strategies to support sales activities and increase market penetration in the assigned region.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with Functional Ingredients (Probiotics, Botanicals, Lipids, Beta Glucan etc) with a developed knowledge of the Nutritional and Pharmaceutical supplements market.
  • Background qualifications in Life Science / Business or other related disciplines is desired.
  • A deep understanding of the Pakistan functional ingredients market, key players, competitive landscape and high level of established senior level customer contacts.
  • Displays a passion for the Functional Ingredients & Nutritional supplements category and has a keen interest in the topics of nutrition and general wellness.
  • Strong ability to work via multiple internal stakeholders in the Kerry matrix structure
  • Driven and highly motivated to deliver targets, win new business and identify new customers/opportunities
  • Strong execution skills, while displaying the ability to adopt a strategic approach
  • This position will require travel within the region and periodically to attend meetings at Kerry sites. There will be an expectation to have extensive and regular customer visits in the market
