Overview 

Syneos Health is seeking a Director, Insights and Analytics to join Cadent medical communications. This role is crucial for leading and evolving our analytics and data science capabilities in the healthcare industry. As part of our dynamic team, the Director will manage complex data sets, oversee analytics projects, and integrate innovative technologies like GenAI to streamline processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare environment, particularly in medical communications, and be adept at identifying and analyzing key opinion leaders (KOLs) using various platforms. This role requires a blend of technical skills, project management acumen, and a client-focused mindset to initiate projects and deliver insightful results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the Insights and Analytics function within Cadent, ensuring effective use of large data sets, including sourcing and analyzing open payments and claims data.
  • Manage and execute projects with a focus on KOL identification, including global and US projects using platforms like Veeva Link, H1 Insights, Komodo, and others.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of metrics dashboards using tools like PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to initiate analytics projects, present results, and provide strategic insights.
  • Utilize basic programming skills (e.g., Excel VBA, Python) to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Keep up-to-date with advances in GenAI and other technologies to automate and improve processes.
  • Demonstrate proven project management skills, including team and budget management.
  • Report to the SVP, Director of Digital & Engagement Strategy, with a mission to enhance digital capabilities in US medical communications.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within an analytics/data science discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in a medical communications environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools and platforms relevant to the healthcare industry.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing people.
  • Client-focused approach with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic programming knowledge and familiarity with automation technologies.
  • Passionate about innovation and staying current with industry trends and advancements.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $X to $Y. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
