Sourcing Specialist 2 - Supplier Quality Development, will be responsible to drive SRG,Supplier Assessment -QMS & Capability,product qualification activities, support part and documentation quality activities at suppliers, organize witness/surveillance inspection and manage non-conformities and quality improvement projects.
Her/his main internal stakeholders will be corresponding Product Lead,Sourcing ,Mfg Quality team & Product Engineering team.
Candidate must be self-motivated, have superb attention to detail and able to organize workload with minimal supervision.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- The Supplier Quality & Development Engineer is responsible for performing quality assurance activities with external suppliers to secure purchase parts to meet defined quality level.
- Support both GEPC India and Global Projects.
- Monitor Supplier Quality Performance & lead Supplier quality crisis.
- Track and drive progress against roadmap commitments with regular reports to stakeholders and management.
- Execute activities to drive quality, delivery, and compliance excellence within the GEPC India & global supply base. These activities include:
- Supplier on-boarding and qualification
- Assess suppliers Regulatory Guideline & manufacturing capability through technical assessment
- Assess suppliers QMS through audits
- Supplier assessment and development
- Contribute to the Supplier Performance Rating process - Review/update suppliers’ qualification status based on their performance rate
- Initiate and manage supplier Q development and improvement actions.
- Purchase Order Kick-off Meetings.
- Organize Kick-off Meetings with suppliers and GE representatives,
- If applicable, review supplier quality documentation (ITP, procedures, …).
- Monitor the execution of surveillance inspections:
- Schedule quality surveillance inspections at suppliers,
- Assure compliance with contract requirements and applicable regulations,
- Timely review and distribute the inspection reports.
- Release material for shipment:
- Ensure all deviations are closed,
- QIP & Part Qualification Approved.
- Authorize shipment once all quality requirements are met.
- Manage technical deviations:
- Continuously follow up the punch items and nonconformities resulting from the quality surveillance inspections up to their closure,
- Record and/or distribute nonconformities identified at suppliers,
- Drive RCA with suppliers, with 8D at least following High & Critical NCRs,
- Analyze Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and support Sourcing claim process,
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented by suppliers.
- Manage surveillance audits:
- Organize surveillance audits as necessary, monitor the closure of CAPA,
- Record associated reports in the supplier database.
- Drive a strong EHS culture throughout the supply base.
- Following supplier caused quality escapes, support/lead critical root cause analysis and create the right corrective actions and preventative actions.
- Support cost-out opportunities identified by the suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (Electrical & Electronics Communication Engg) with 0-2 years of experience in Supplier quality & Development)
- Strong communication skills in English language.Strong quality mindset with proven use of the quality tool kit in risk assessment, 8D and manufacturing process controls.
- Aptitude to create and deliver reports for review by key stakeholders.
- Capacity to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Standards.
- Decision maker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience in RCA methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development and analysis.
- Flexible as Domestic Travel is required to visit supplier network
