Product Manager

As an Assistant Product Manager for the Americas Region, you will be responsible for the management of the designated Belkin product portfolio, Secure KVM and cybersecurity, including the specific product mix, product families, and ongoing evaluation of products to be added, enhanced, refined, developed, maintained, or eliminated. Provide overall vision for government market, hardware, cybersecurity products/ services, and product life cycle management for assigned categories. You will also partner with Belkin's sales teams to identify key customer needs to help drive Belkin's overall market share leadership.

This position serves as a strategic thinker with military, intelligence community, and/ or Department of Defense knowledge, and track record of launching Secure KVM and/ or cybersecurity products/ services into related channels and markets. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong communication, technical acumen, interpersonal and presentation skills and will require travel during line review seasons. The Product Manager will be tasked to ensure that the Belkin product line is recognized as best in class by re-sellers and end users in the industry for value, quality, selection, innovation, features, reliability, and ease of use. With the use of consumer research, user experience, industrial design and intellectual property, the Product Manager will conceive, prototype, deliver, road map, launch and market innovative solutions for the way our consumers stay connected to the experiences they love.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Technical, thorough understanding of Secure KVM and related cybersecurity products / services technologies, and its role across the broader electronics landscape.
  • Develop an understanding of all elements of our business – supply chain, design, sell-in, merchandising, distribution, etc. – to create long-term barriers-to-entry against competitors in a highly-competitive marketplace.
  • Develop and execute selling and marketing activities to drive market share and revenue growth across multiple sales channels.
  • Lead internal and external initiatives in collaboration with Sales, Global Product Management, Marketing, Design, Branding, and Demand Planning to deliver on product pricing, product positioning, product placement, and product sell through.
  • Engage and empower the sales function to deliver best-in-class field execution, helping them to understand and deliver our vision and strategy to our government and B2B customers.
  • Responsible for achieving sales and profitability goals of categories assigned.
  • Direct weekly cadence, agenda and communication with regional/channel teams to ensure product launch support and alignment.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, support and join PM summits, support regional sales line reviews to ensure that business unit initiatives are properly communicated and executed.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop, communicate and execute go-to-market strategies / product launches, product marketing and messaging.
  • Ownership of the Americas Region P&L and Balance sheet. Will be required to meet and exceed budget numbers and inventory metrics and drive profitable growth in the business.
  • Lead the preparation of major customer meeting deliverables, setting priorities, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Military, intelligence community, and/ or Department of Defense experience required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or related work experience within Secure KVM, desktop equipment, information technology, information assurance, cybersecurity, audio/ video, or communications systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of host, console, and peripheral desktop equipment, multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols a plus.
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • Technical/ cybersecurity degree or certification preferred.
  • Security clearance a plus. 
  • Proven track record and experience in successfully launching products preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing other product managers.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required - Minimum 25%.

$65,000 – $75,000

Factors such as geographic location, academic credentials, relevant experience, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities will influence the actual salary offered.
