Job Description

OES Equipment, a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry, is looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative to serve as a key customer contact and resource for greater Aiken, SC area. This is a newly opening office that is still in the process of being built, so it has been listed under our Greenville, SC office for the time being.

The Inside Sales Representative is a key contributor to the full lifecycle of order processing and fulfillment. They are involved in the coordination of initial order placement, through subsequent delivery, all the way to payment, ensuring all customer sales orders are imputed and managed completely and accurately. Inside Sales Representatives utilize 2 main software systems to manage this process. They follow OES Best Practice procedures to perform system functions effectively and efficiently, and actively maintain the data within them while ensuring customer satisfaction through quality work and timely order fulfillment.

Additional responsibilities include cycle counts and assisting with annual inventory, expense reconciliation, and supporting branch related projects or initiatives. Inside Sales Representatives may also participate in sourcing special order items for project teams.

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the following:

  • Building key relationships to provide outstanding customer service
  • Receiving, placing, and filling customer orders
  • Providing and recommending solutions to the customer
  • Placing and receiving purchase orders
  • Quoting and invoice processing
  • Data entry and other miscellaneous office management tasks as needed

Required Skills:

  • Proven success in a sales and customer focused environment.
  • Construction supply and equipment industry knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.

Physical Abilities:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
