Be the primary point of contact for own customers and ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, including the inland delivery, by working closely with the customer as well as internal stakeholders. Be fully responsible for customer satisfaction across MPL product offering (own customers). Manages people and processes to execute designed project solutions.

Key Responsibilities, the Project Manager will be

  • Responsible for operational excellence across MPL product family and transport modes to meet customer deliverables
  • Partner with commercial, growth enablement, QHSE and procurement to aid in the strategic development of the customer.
  • Establish and track goals, metrics, and indicators for success for the MPL project.
  • Demonstrate adapability for market fluctuations, supply chain disruptions and customer timelines to meet contractual terms.
  • Establish and foster data driven relationships with clients focusing on joint strategic vision and initatives aligned to global MPL growth strategies
  • Accountable for the internal implementation of the customer solution, ensuring reporting structure, QHSE requirements and continuous improvement loops embedded in organization
  • Effective independent judgment in order to set priorities and work independently.
  • Drive operational excellence across teams
  • Identify and hold operational leadership accountable to customer program deliverables
  • Identify value added solutions for the customer and Maersk
  • Represent the account(s) during business implementation and execution, including onboarding of new Maersk product portfolio; collaborating with internal project owners accordingly.
  • Responsible for identifying and reducing program operating cost
  • Rate sourcing and ensuring the most economical solution is offered to customer
  • Expected to be mobilized domestically/ internationally as and when job is required

We are looking for

  • Project freight forwarding background with 5 – 7 years’ experience
  • Experienced with sales support, tender management and operation
  • Extensive executional experience across all transport modes; ocean/air/truck/barge to include OOG cargo from A - Z
  • Good knowledge of local and international freight forwarding operation flow including customs clearance requirement
  • Customer facing engagements and presentations
  • Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making across regions, product(s), and internal stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to be attending site visits such as customers/ vendors visits, field operation and etc (If required)
  • Willingness to work out of office hours (If required)
  • Able to make decision independently, and being a good team contributor
  • Ensure the procurement and evaluation of offers from sub-contractors are line with MPL standards
