The Spirit of the Position: The Maintenance/Power washing Technician will provide back-up and be responsible for supporting the maintenance team in various garages throughout New York/New Jersey. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a combination of hands-on maintenance and customer service, while following maintenance and operational compliance.

Principal Job Description:

  • Follow the Company Standard Operating Procedures as well as policies regarding professionalism, uniforms, and grooming standards.
  • Note and report any safety condition relating to equipment or place of employment.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, assist co-workers in solving work problems.
  • Process and carry out maintenance work order forms/requested.
  • Report all completed/uncompleted work performed to Operations Manager daily.
  • Assist with keeping an accurate inventory of supplies and equipment’s.

Requirements: 

  • Ability to speak English.
  • A minimum of 2 years related maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must be proactive with strong personal drive, people person and must be willing to lead by example.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and work orders.
  • Ability to apply common sense/understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule including weekends.
  • License Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.

Experience/Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills required.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Some experience/knowledge to trouble shoot pressure washing machine, trouble shoot electrical outlet & unclogged drains (plumbing)
  • Must have experience of using power equipment’s like leaf blower, vacuumed & pressure washers.
  • Must have experience to carry out power washing, sweeping/cleaning.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
