Position Summary:

Interested in growing your skills as a full stack web and Java developer? Learning about development best practices in a challenging, friendly, and supportive environment? This is a full time position providing great benefits such as health care, dental care, and tuition assistance among others.

Serve as an entry level developer in the delivery of applications that will serve the entire campus community. Works collaboratively with members of the development team, the operations team, and associated project partners and customers. Assists in the planning, development, and maintenance of innovative applications that serve the University's business and educational objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

A thorough knowledge of programming and server software operations.

Expertise in the following languages/tools: Java Standard Edition, HTML, CSS, Javascript.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff.

Ability to work under strict time constraints in mission critical situations.

Ability to program to specific situation scenarios and needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, or related field.

Familiarity with any of the following languages/tools: XML, SQL, SASS, Liferay, Cascade Content Management System, Apache, Tomcat, Eclipse IDE, Java Enterprise Edition, Maven, GIT, Jira, Stripes Java Framework, Spring Framework, and Scrum.
