Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer-Ultrasound

Job Description

Job title:

Develop electrical hardware of a complex medical system. Modules could be power supplies, custom motherboards, power regulation, custom displays, and control panels. Develop specifications and perform testing and verification of new hardware as it is integrated into the larger system. Work with suppliers and design partners as needed. Work with a project team of other Electrical engineers, as well as Mechanical, Manufacturing, software engineers and other cross- functional partners to support product launches and give design feedback for new products. 

Your role:

  • Develop electrical specifications and modify existing specifications for new design requirements
  • Perform module level testing in a standard engineering lab environment and review testing results of others.
  • Provide detailed design feedback and technical recommendations for team members
  • Document Electrical development efforts, including requirements, specifications, design reviews, test plans and procedures, and reports.
  • Support partner relationships for externally designed hardware

You're the right fit if:

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of experience in an engineering role. This candidate must be eager to learn and excited to be part of a global design team. Additionally this candidate will have excellent communication and partnering skills, and the ability to work closely and effectively in teams.

Required:

  • BSEE or Computer Engineering Degree
  • Methodical, effective troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to learn quickly from others, recognize problems and take corrective action when appropriate
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • A team player who proactively seeks out expertise and advice from others.

Preferred:

Medical electronics experience
