Job Description:
The Boston Globe is looking for an investigative reporter with a track record of high impact accountability work to join the storied Spotlight unit.
The ideal candidate should be adept at analyzing complex data, undaunted by having doors slammed in their face, skilled at storytelling and – most importantly – have an unyielding drive to produce journalism that makes a mark.
This person should have a keen eye for story ideas, the ability to envision an ambitious investigation, and the reporting chops to carry it out. They should be able to write clearly and forcefully.
We are looking for someone who is dogged in uncovering information that others want to keep secret, while also holding a deep sense of fairness and compassion. The Spotlight Team is a highly collaborative environment, so candidates should be skilled communicators and have a history of success when working with others.

The BGMP office is located in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and is easily accessible by MBTA and commuter rail lines. This position is based in Boston, and candidates should be based in the area or willing to move.
This position is a union position covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the Boston Newspaper Guild.
