Job Description

Business Operations Internship

As a Business Operations intern, you will be part of a transversal team of Business Operations Team internally supporting our client-facing team that provides strategic consulting advice to Fortune 500 companies and cities as they embark on their transformation into zero-carbon footprint.

ENGIE Impact is looking for a razor-sharp, process-oriented, and highly collaborative Business Operations Intern to work on specific projects related to our Business Operations including:

  • Support day-to-day execution of various operational excellence project activities, foster organizational efficiencies, inclusive of continuous improvement of business processes to effectively scale a fast-growing global organization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally between Business Operations Team with Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Commercial Teams
  • Provide support in collecting and analysing data, monitoring of KPIs, update and preparation of reports, facilitating and ensuring access to databases, and communication with key stakeholders
  • Support management of content repositories and knowledge management systems
  • Prepare compelling arguments and supporting materials, including decks for various stakeholder contexts

Your role must be performed in full compliance with the ENGIE Impact’s standards in terms of Quality / Safety / Legal / Ethics.

More particularly, you will :

Learn about Business Operations by leveraging ENGIE Impact’s methods, tools, and assets to design and deliver outcome on projects

  • Develop and provide input for various operational excellence projects
  • Collect and structure data/information from various sources
  • Perform ad-hoc research and data analysis
  • Produce convincing analyses and slide visualization 

Contribute to Continuous Improvement

  • Support in the realization of enabling assets to support internal teams
  • Help develop operational efficiencies and processes to effectively scale a fast-growing global organization

Develop Operations competences :

  • Support Operations Team in various operational excellence projects to acquire relevant methodologies.

Background and Experience

  • You are studying in a Business School or Engineering School and/or you followed a dedicated curriculum in Business Operations
  • You have strong interest to develop your Business Operations skills 

Communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

  • You are a team player and are recognized for your interpersonal skills and your ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment
  • You can work autonomously and execute project related tasks effectively
  • You have strong aptitude for critical, qualitative, and analytical thinking
  • You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You have a flexible and creative mindset

Software Proficiency

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Nice to have: knowledge in quantitative and business intelligence tools as well as reporting and dashboarding capabilities

Languages

  • You are fully proficient in English both written and spoken.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of French

Duration: 3 months minimum, ideally 6 months

Starting date: Jan/Feb 2024
