Apply 876 Work Schedule: Full Time Salary: $86,564 - $94,203 Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area The Central Intelligence Agency is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to work with highly motivated individuals in an organization performing a mission critical to our nation's security. Responsibilities include establishing and operating remote independent duty clinics; treating illness, injuries and medical emergencies to include trauma stabilization; physical examinations and interpretation of diagnostic testing; didactic and practical instruction in survival skills, field medicine, and tactical combat casualty care; and medical planning, logistic and administrative functions. Initial assignment is in the Mid-Atlantic region but candidates must be available for worldwide travel to include relocation every two to three years. First tour expectations should include extensive travel (six to eight months per year in 60 - 90 day deployments) often to austere locations, operating solo with lightweight load-out and small footprint without direct physician oversight. Entry salary is dependent upon experience and additional allowances which are dictated by specific assignments. Hiring incentives are available with a 24-month service agreement. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree from an AAPA-approved program, current NCCPA certification and an excellent academic record (minimum 3.5 GPA). Applicants should have a strong interest in international affairs with solid interpersonal and communication skills. Five years of full-time equivalent experience in emergency medicine, surgery and/or primary care is required, preferably in an urban and/or rural setting with a military medical background highly desired. Foreign travel, language proficiency, residency abroad and a background in Central Eurasian, East Asian Middle Eastern languages and cultures are preferred.
